The Reverend Reporter has a confession to make: upon arriving at the lovely parish of Grace in the Desert I slipped away to have a long-awaited meeting with a youth ministry counterpart. Although I returned towards the end of the session the discussion was brisk and there was lots of good energy.
The table laden with goodies was memorable, as was sitting in the sanctuary and meditating on the plain cross framed by the enormous glass window behind the altar. Oh yes, the chocolate-dipped creampuffs were delightful, and even though I didn't quite earn them by sitting through the entire meeting I did pop one (well, maybe two) into my mouth as I was leaving.
